Data Deletion Instructions

How users and tenant administrators can remove Anytown access and request deletion of stored social publishing data.

Effective date: May 8, 2026

Overview

Users and tenant administrators can remove Anytown access from inside Anytown where available, from the connected platform settings, or by sending a manual deletion request to privacy@anytown.ai.

Remove access in Anytown

  • Sign in to the Anytown dashboard with an authorized tenant administrator account.
  • Open the tenant or publication dashboard and go to Social Settings or Communications Accounts.
  • Choose the connected platform account, page, channel, profile, or credential to remove.
  • Deactivate, disconnect, or delete the connected social account.
  • Where technically supported, Anytown will delete or revoke stored credentials and stop using the connection for future publishing.

Remove Meta, Facebook, Instagram, or Threads access

  • Open Facebook and go to Settings and privacy -> Settings -> Apps and websites.
  • Find the Anytown app.
  • Choose Remove or revoke access.
  • Email privacy@anytown.ai if you also want Anytown to delete stored connection metadata, tokens, pending drafts, or scheduled posts associated with that Meta connection.

Remove access from other platforms

Google, YouTube, X, and other platforms provide account settings where users can review connected apps and revoke access. Revoking access on the platform prevents Anytown from using that connection for future API calls. You can also contact Anytown to remove stored tenant-side data for the connection.

Manual deletion request

Email privacy@anytown.ai with enough information for us to verify the request and find the relevant tenant records. We may ask for additional verification before deleting tenant-owned or platform-connected records.

  • Tenant or publication name.
  • Platform name and the account, page, channel, profile, handle, or URL to remove.
  • Requester email address and, if known, Anytown user id.
  • Whether you want credentials only removed, pending drafts and scheduled posts removed, or all eligible connection metadata removed.

What will be deleted

  • OAuth tokens, refresh tokens, page access tokens, app credentials, or secret references stored for the connection where deletion is technically possible.
  • Social account connection metadata where it is no longer needed for operations, audit, security, or legal obligations.
  • Pending drafts, queued posts, or scheduled posts associated with the connection when requested and not already published.
  • Future publishing authorization for the disconnected account.

What may be retained

  • Already-published public posts remain on the social platform until removed there or through available platform tools.
  • Operational records, audit logs, accounting records, security logs, and abuse-prevention records may be retained when required for legitimate business, legal, platform, or security reasons.
  • Aggregated or non-identifying analytics may be retained for reporting and platform reliability.

Response timeline

We aim to acknowledge deletion requests within 7 days and complete eligible deletion within 30 days unless additional verification, platform limitations, tenant authority issues, legal obligations, or security retention requirements apply.
